Command-Line Arguments are strings of keywords that you can pass when running the executable via the command line or a shortcut to the executable. Their purpose is to customize the manner in which the engine runs to suit the needs of the developer or user. This can be as simple as causing the editor to run instead of the game, or it can be much more involved such as starting up the game with a certain map running at a specified resolution and framerate while dumping out each frame to individual image files.

These arguments can be passed to either the game or the editor, depending on the specific keyword and its intended usage. Some arguments are plain switches (-UNATTENDED) while others are setting switches that are "key=value" pairs (-LOG=MyLog.txt). These commands are not case sensitive. The syntax for passing plain switches is to preface each argument with a minus '-' and then the argument immediately afterward. Setting switches need no leading '-', with the exception of the server switches.

Use Aaother command-line argument to temporarily override which INIs are loaded by the game or editor. For example, if a custom 'MyGame.ini' is to be used instead of 'MyOldGame.ini', the argument would be -GAMEINI=MyGame.ini. This table lists the arguments used to override the different INI files used in UE4:

So this is the primary step to boost your FPS and it have a very big impact in your game. So first of all you have to delete 'FortniteGame' folder from the USER folder. So first hold Win+R to open windows run program or click on the windows search and type "Run" and open it and type this command "%localappdata%" and press enter it will take you to a folder Scroll down and find 'Fortnitegame' and permanently delete that. In next open your Epic Games launcher then click on the profile icon below there you'll see the starting option click that and scroll all the way down find Fortnite tab click it and there is an option called additional command line arguments check it and type "FeatureLevelEs31" and enter. Then close your Epic Games launcher.

Be aware that Development builds have higher CPU overhead than Test or Shipping. Still, it can be convenient to profile Development builds. To reduce CPU overhead in Development builds, you should turn off any unnecessary processing on the CPU side and avoid profiling in the editor. The editor can be made to run as the game using the -game command-line argument. The following command line shows an example of using -game and disabling CPU work that is not needed for profiling.

UE4 has some built-in functionality to help with this. The -benchmark command-line argument causes UE4 to automatically change certain settings to be more friendly to profiling. The -deterministic argument causes the engine to use a fixed timestep and a fixed random seed. You can then use -fps to set the fixed timestep and -benchmarkseconds to have the engine automatically shut down after a fixed number of timesteps.

Getting back to reducing variability in UE4, you may find that some things do not obey the fixed random seed from the -deterministic command-line argument. This was the case for some particles in the Infiltrator demo. These particles were causing a noticeable amount of noise in our benchmarks.

The console can be accessed by (paragraph)/` (backtick)/ (tilde) key. This will open the console command line; press it again to open a larger window (at least one command requires a large window in order to be used properly).

Aside from getting the best possible components for your computer, it can be a good idea to get a liquid cooler for your CPU. You can also find easy-to-install liquid cooler assemblies for your graphics card as well. Liquid coolers work to more efficiently keep your processing components at far lower temperatures when playing games that require a lot of processing to render the graphics. This helps boost your FPS performance. It is also important to remember that the beefier the hardware you have for your PC, the higher wattage it will require, so make sure your power supply unit (PSU) covers the wattage necessary to power up everything. A cheap 300-Watt Power Supply can overload and destroy the other components of your computer. So it is a good idea to invest in a 750-Watt or higher power supply.

You will see a shaded area with several graph lines scrolling from right to left. The faster these lines are moving, the more ticks you are processing. Look for the upper white line and value to read your SIM rate. Remember, the lower your SIM rate is, the faster your game will perform. If you can, try to play around the training area, especially in the area with the multiple Training Bots moving in and out of the left side building and output as much primary fire as you can and move around as fast as you can. Doing this will test how fast your system is processing commands and rendering graphics to your screen.

Firstly, know that the Steam version of GTA V will allow you to enter launch options. For Epic Games and Rockstar users, you will have to edit the command-line text file in GTA V Folder. In some cases, the file is not created, so you will have to make one and enter the code. It is no big deal, let me teach you how.

These options may be only specified on the command line. For the syntax see above. Options starting with a ? (question mark) are appended directly one after another, options starting with a - (dash) have to be noted separately.

The following options can only be set in the [/script/shootergame.shootergamemode] section of Game.ini, located in the same folder as GameUserSettings.ini (see above for the location for each platform). Specifying them on the command line will have no effect.

2. For Unofficial Servers, if they wish to allow dynamic Cross-ARK Travel, they will need to run two Servers on the same box from the same directory, and then you can launch with the following commandlines:

Another Battle Royale enters the arena, this time it is EA with Apex Legends. As with other popular Battle Royale games, it is free to play. In this guide, we will go over how you can gain the best settings, by tweaking your in-game settings and your graphics cards settings to gain a boost in performance and increased FPS (frames per seconds). In a competitive environment, you want to squeeze out as many frames as possible.

Before you start Barony, game arguments can be written in to force the game to directly load into a specific state. These commands can be everything from changing the resolution to force a specific map to load.

Shadows and lighting are often some of the most demanding effects in PC games, so toning down Death Stranding's Shadow Resolution feature is another way to help give your frame rate a small boost. Dropping it down to Medium allowed my average frame rate to creep up another couple of frames, for example, while opting for Low gave me another handful on top of that. It won't give you a dramatic improvement to your frame rate, but it all adds up when combined with the effects above.

This commands are used either in the command line while starting the server or in the GameUserSettings.INI. Not every command is working in the INI File or in the Command-Line. These lists are split in two different tables, but some of the settings from the INI work in the Command-Line and vice versa (lat. for other way).

Unreal Insights is a profiling system that collects, analyzes, and visualizes data from Unreal Engine. The profiling system can help you find optimization bottlenecks and areas where you apps performance could use a boost. Normally, you enable Unreal Insights right from the editor, but for HoloLens 2 you'll need to use the command line.

Destiny 2 is one of the most played free to play steam games ever made. Many gamers were facing lag issues in Destiny 2 so I made a guide on best settings for Destiny 2. But for those who want to go the extra mile. Here are the best steam launch options you can use in Destiny 2 to fix lag and boost FPS.Destiny 2 Steam Launch OptionsHow to change Steam Launch Settings in destiny 2var cid='4539427613';var pid='ca-pub-7412902240050919';var slotId='div-gpt-ad-noobs2pro_com-medrectangle-3-0';var ffid=1;var alS=1021%1000;var container=document.getElementById(slotId);var ins=document.createElement('ins');'-asloaded';ins.className='adsbygoogle ezasloaded';ins.dataset.adClient=pid;ins.dataset.adChannel=cid;'block';'px';'100%';'px';'px';'px';container.appendChild(ins);(adsbygoogle=window.adsbygoogle[]).push();window.ezoSTPixelAdd(slotId,'stat_source_id',44);window.ezoSTPixelAdd(slotId,'adsensetype',1);var lo=new MutationObserver(window.ezaslEvent);lo.observe(document.getElementById(slotId+'-asloaded'),attributes:true);Open SteamGo to the list of games in your library.Right-click the Destiny 2 and click the Properties section.Click the Set Launch Options in the General tab of the game as shown in the image below:Now use the following commands to boost your FPS-high -USEALLAVAILABLECORES -novid-highThis puts the game in high priority mode so that the game runs better. You can also improve your system performance, in general, using the PC/laptop optimization guide 041b061a72
